Memory Lane is a full band of talented musicians who have been gigging for many years. They always get people up and dancing, young and old, with a popular selection of 1960s music. Whether a themed night, private party or club/pub needs, they are versatile and flexible.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a quote, we need to know how long the music sets are required to run. We also need to know the size of the performing area provided and the date and time of when we are needed. The type of event doesn't affect the price but it is useful to know the expected audience/event and whether the event is indoors or outdoors. Other useful information includes space for unloading/loading and power supplies.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our advice is to check the history of the band you are hiring. Do they already have a reputation and repeat gigs. If they are asked back, it usually means they are good. Check the authenticity also. Make sure that if they are a 60s band, that they play the authentic versions. You can get this from website profiles and the band makeup.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Memory Lane just love to play music from the 60s. That's not to say a special request from another period is out of the question but we are focused on the 60s and make the experience authentic to the 60s. Our passion is music and sharing that music with our audience, immersing them in the most popular songs of the era.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had bookings through Add to Event and they have gone very well. We have done a few birthday parties which have gone down extremely well. I believe the website is very efficient for both the customer and service provider and we are able to take things forward from initial contact to performance very easily. I would recommend the platform to any other businesses I come across.
