Greg Fidler is an acoustic singer who performs at weddings, corporate events and private parties. Greg has already received some amazing reviews through Add to Event and here he shares his top tips on choosing the right acoustic band for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To quote to a customer, I mainly need the event date and venue address along with the timings they are wanting me to play. Knowing the guest numbers and the amount of location changes also helps me get a picture of the day. Requesting extra songs to be learnt may also effect the quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask about the specifics of what equipment they use to see if it is suitable for the guest numbers on the day. Previous reviews can also give a good idea of how past clients have enjoyed them. Mainly have a listen and go with the voice and style appeals to you the most.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I studied for 4 years at the Academy of Contemporary Music, and have been performing in bands and as a solo singer for the last decade for clients including UEFA, RedBull, McLaren, and 250+ weddings. I have also released my own singles and worked as a photographer for artists wanting location/street shoots.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I played a drinks evening for a business in Westminster. It was a pleasure and such a relaxing vibe with nice people to be around. AddToEvent has a great, beautifully transparent platform and I have already recommended it to a couple of friends.
