What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quick and comprehensive quote we need the location of the event, the numbers involved and ideally time and date of the event. It helps us to know what you have in mind for the event too, such as is it indoor or outdoor. We aim to reply as quickly as possible to all requests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly it’s important to find out what they are offering for your money, such as how many presenters and for how long. Ask about what animals they have available and how many come to a typical party. Finally, make sure they are licensed and insured.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always loved animals and working with children. I bred a rare species of reptile and started making videos and building social media. People asked me if I would come and talk about my animals. I discovered I needed to be inspected and insured, so the business grew from requests. We mainly do parties, schools and playgroups now, it’s been absolutely amazing seeing children's faces light up at holding reptiles or other animals.
I always try and give people the best experience I can and have them leave full of wonder and amazement over the animals brought.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had one booking since I joined although I haven’t done it yet. I think I’m a pretty specialist market so people are often curious about it but not serious enough to come for a direct quote but hopefully, this will change. I have successfully recommended Add to Event to others. One person joined recently.
