What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide you with a quote we need to know the date and preferred time ( so we can check availability ), number and age of children, venue/location, whether it is to be indoor/outdoor, and an idea of interests or preferred activities/crafts. We will then use all this information to make suggestions for your party, and quote an approximate cost. Changes can be made to your original enquiry, and we can offer other bespoke options as required. The more information you can give in your initial enquiry, the better.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at previous reviews and check their insurance for working with children plus DBS checks.
From our point of view, we offer the following tips too. If you have an idea in mind, then share it with us! If your child doesn't like dinosaurs then please tell us so that we don't suggest a dinosaur-themed craft party. If your daughter wants to be a volcanologist, then let us know ( we've had just that request, and are doing a volcano making party for her ! ). If your child is obsessed with potions and spells, then point us in the right direction so we can put together a wonderful wizard party.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

As a former primary school teacher, I could see the creative arts being pushed further and further out of the curriculum. My Creation Station franchise allows me to have all the best parts of teaching - fun, happy children, inspiring imaginations, and messing around with paint, clay and craft materials all day - what's not to love! Every day is different as I work in schools, nurseries and provide parties for all ages. I also get the opportunity to work with mums and babies as they discover the world around them, and adults as they look for new skills and hobbies to fill their leisure time.

I've only just joined Add to Event, but can already see that there is so much opportunity to work with amazing people providing special and memorable occasions for their children, friends and families.
