What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote to our customers we need details of the event, date, venue, indoors or outside, the number of guests, what is expected of us and do they need to have staff on site.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Effective communication so that there are no shortfalls in what is being booked. Talk to your supplier about the event - what are you expecting and what you want to achieve. Don't be afraid to ask simple questions. This helps to stop misunderstandings. Also, ask is there something your supplier has that would add to your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
New Day was started in 1999 and we have successfully been supplying events ever since. As a partner, I bring over 40yrs of experience in audio, visual and lighting. My other partner brings the creative side with video. Together we make a strong partnership that listens to their customers.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Over the years we have done so many events but our work with the NSPCA was the most rewarding. As we knew we were helping a very worthy cause and improve the outcome for many children in the UK. Add to Event has been a very effective means of meeting new customers.
