What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide the most accurate quote, that reflects the customer's needs and allow us to personalise the service and equipment for them we need to know the customer's creative vision, the size of the venue and amount of guests our systems need to accommodate as well as a rough budget the customer has. We will then personalise the quote, and create a system that works the best, and will bring the event to life!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In our industry, there are hundreds of different brands of speakers and lighting equipment, ask the supplier what equipment they are supplying and whether this is a basic or professional package. Ask if they will set up the equipment and provide 24/7 support if something goes wrong because what you do not want is for the music to stop playing or lights to stop lighting and have no one to turn to for help and your event be ruined.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Every event we do could be someone's first-ever event, last ever event or the only thing that has made them smile this year or the only time they have left the house, that passion for great service and equipment and bringing events to life is why LJS Event Services LTD was born. We want people to walk into our events and go "wow" but not necessarily notice we are there.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
In the summer of 2021 (when covid restrictions lifted and people could party again) we supplied equipment, staff and services to hundreds of events, many found through the Add to Event platform. It is hard to pick a specific event but as a whole Add to Event connected event organisers with us, and we were able to make magical events for them, I have recommended Add to Event to all of our friends in the industry.
