What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The most important things we would need to know to give an accurate quote are: the venue and address, the date of the event and set up times if possible. As much of a description of the services required in the comments box. Using our experience we can then begin to build you a quotation based on the information given to us.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
With all industries, the cheapest isn't always the best. Try and not base your decision to book on price alone, look for experience and registered businesses. Make sure the company you are dealing with have PAT tested equipment and up to the date insurance as some venues shall not allow a business without to supply your event, I have seen this happen when even a truck full of kit is refused access as they didn't bring a method statement to the venue on time. After supplying services to some of the biggest names and venues in the events industry in the UK and around the world for over 15 years. We saw an opportunity to provide a better service, a more effective service, a more DYNAMIC service to the end client. We provide many services for events including audio, lighting and even marquees so Add to Event has been a fantastic platform to help not only the organisers of events but also us the businesses. One booking we had recently through Add to Event stood out as we provided sound equipment inside a marquee for a wedding. We always go the extra mile and include set up by our technicians of the equipment, the client was extremely impressed by the way we not only set up the equipment but managed to train the groom and best men on how to utilise what to some would seem quite complicated equipment. Remember this was for the speeches!
