What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Getting to know our client's theme is really key for us to create something beautiful and bespoke for them. This way we can determine colour profiles and their personal taste preferences.
Knowing key details such as the date, time and the length of their event is key in the planning stage, budget is also important to ensure, we can deliver on expectations.
Having a detailed understanding of what you are looking for and any other items you may need is great, as we may have other items you didn't realise we had, that we can offer.
Sharing inspo pictures with us is also a great way for us to see what is in your head, so we can ensure we live up to your dream vision.
Finally the location of the event, whether it's indoor or outdoor and any special features or structures within the event space that we can take into consideration.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Whilst getting a fair price is always important, being realistic with budget allocation and what someone can provide for that budget is really paramount. If your budget is tight, then looking for package options when event planning is a good way to save some money, whilst giving suppliers a chance to also make a fair wage.
Visuals are really important and give you a really good idea of how experienced a supplier is and what they are capable of creating for you. It never hurts to ask for a supplier's social media handle or link to image gallery to give you some inspiration and insight into their previous events.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Sequin and Pearl was born from a passion for weddings and events. I am a highly creative individual with a design background. I loved creating events that wowed friends and family and have always been known as the hostess with the mostess. I turned my favourite pastime into a life venture, after my own wedding. I realised event planning is what makes me happy and having the chance to bring dreamy creations to life, is the best thing ever! Seeing the reactions on my client's faces and knowing you made a memory that little bit more special by creating an environment that is truly beautiful and unique is the most rewarding feeling in the world.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've had a few bookings now and they have been very successful. My latest booking was for a 30th Birthday. They ordered light-up numbers and a bespoke balloon garland. I have had so many amazing comments on their event and also more bookings following this event. They were so happy with the setup and also added more on to their package than first requested. I feel Add To Event gives customers a sense of trustworthiness and security, that you don't always get with bookings on other platforms. The costs are really fair for suppliers too and make it affordable to use the platform for future bookings.
