What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

So I can provide an accurate quote to a customer, I require the date of the event, venue address, how many children attending, and age range. Also if balloon twisting or face painting or if both are required. Using this information I can provide confirmation of attendance and cost.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Try to find a provider who is local, it cuts the cost to both the provider and customer. Ask to see photos of their work, to see what they are capable of providing, anyone can say they can balloon twist a lifesize robot, but can they really. Is the provider good with children, and do they have a good rapport whilst entertaining? What exactly do they provide, do they turn up early to set up, do they require breaks?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started out by providing face painting at events and Birthday parties. I was asked if I could provide balloon twisting, so I went and studied the art and loved the transformations from straight balloons to pretty much anything you can think of. Now I have started my own youtube channel and love it. I always ask if the customer if they have a theme in mind so I can provide the best experience for my customer at the event,

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have only recently returned to Add to Event due to covid lockdown. Business is slowly picking up. I had previously provided both face painting and balloon twisting to many parties through this platform. The security of knowing it is all legit and safe is a big bonus when working on my own. All the information I require can be obtained directly from the customer once I have been chosen to entertain at their event. Most of my parties are from repeat customers through this platform as I don't have a website, it is ideal.
