Moonlight Spirits provides a duo that specialises in fun exciting entertainment with sing-along songs ranging from the 50s to the 90s. Experienced at entertaining in hotels, for a spectrum of ages.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote, we need to have the event date, what type of music they would like, the number of guests, and whether it is an inside event or outside event.
We can then put together a setlist of songs which are suitable for the event, bring the right equipment ie lighting, etc etc,
We do always ask for one special song which you would like, recently we have had PERFECT, DELILAH, and WORKING MAN,
What will yours be????
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that the duo concerned will not cancel last minute, or that they have a back up plan. Too many bands/duo's take every booking available then cancel last minute, it does not matter to them if your event is ruined.
A lot of our work is standing in work, we have in the past dropped what we are doing to be somewhere in `15 minutes and one of those times was Christmas Eve.
Make sure the music is what you want, good quality. we have bose system, it is comfortable to the ears, we start by asking our audience if they are comfortable with the level of sound. We do not want people going home with headaches caused by us.
Banter, fun, group dancing, and laughter are what we are about, and we have pleasure in knowing that when we go home if everyone has smiling faces "our work is done"
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Moonlight Spirits was started simply because we saw a gap in the market for the older generation, obviously we do entertain all ages, but it seemed that no one was willing to do 50's 60's 70's Country, and Party Floor Fillers, and we have filled this gap.
We have had 90 year olds dancing to walk 500 miles by the proclaimers, 80 year olds jiving, and all matter of conga affairs at various hotels, etc etc, just because you may be older, it does not mean that you don't want to dance, laugh, and be naughty....that is why so many of the older generation go to the likes of Benidorm. And so..... after watching so many people relive their youth, remember the songs of their era, it just warms your heart, why not let your Mum, Dad, Grandad, Grandma, your Grandchildren just have fun together. Music is Music.....
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We had a booking for a private event locally to ourselves, it went very well, in fact, we did some extra time as they wanted us to continue, after doing our normal two 45 minute slots, they fed us, they provided the drink, and also provided us with a bed for the night.
What a fantastic customer.......and as always....we delivered..... it was a pleasure.

It’s worth checking with band hire if they have all the necessary equipment to perform.
