What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide an accurate quote, we ideally need to know the event date, the type of event, roughly how long you would like us to play for, roughly what time you would like us to play i.e. afternoon or evening, and if it would be for a roaming performance or with a PA system. We are happy to send options for all line-up options (duo, trio, quartet) but if you have a preference, it would be useful to know that too!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider what services they can offer - you'd be surprised at the range of things bands can do! For example, we can play at wedding ceremonies, during reception drinks or the wedding breakfast and can either play acoustically (with no equipment) or with a full PA system so the instruments and voices are "miced" up. Check out the reviews they have had from other events.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Wonder of Uke was born out of a love for entertaining people - we love to sing and have fun with audiences, getting them singing along with us is our favourite thing! We all met through doing gigs with other bands and enjoyed playing together so much that we decided to set up our own.
