What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, we like to get a feel for what the client has in their mind, or whether we can help them visualise so that we can really put something unique and special together for them. It is important to know the details of the event, the location, type of room, number of people and whether there are any particular requests. Once we have those details we can create a quote and basic plan, and then go on to work with the client on the finer details and perfections!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Live Music is such an important aspect of any occasion, and it's important to have an idea of what you do or don't want. Ask the provider for their song list, ask if they have different options with line-up or optional extras. You may also want background or disco music for when the band aren't playing, so you should ask about that. Experience is important so that a provider knows how to deal with all eventualities and keep you in safe hands, so look at previous reviews or ask what events they have done before. Organisation and event management aspects are just as important as a good quality performance on the night.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Crazy Knights were formed with the aspiration of being the best party band in the world! Bringing together high-quality musicians and ensuring high energy entertainment combined with great planning we have always aimed to provide experiences that people will remember whilst having a lot of fun doing what we love!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

One of the most memorable bookings was the Yorkshire Publicity Association Christmas ball. A wonderful black-tie event with reps from several high profile media companies. A great party crowd in a wonderful venue. We performed with our 6 piece band with a set of great party tunes and some Xmas classics. Both the crowd and we had a wonderful night and we were booked on the spot for the following year's event.
