What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide the most comprehensive and tailored quote we would need you to provide the following in your requests:
- Venue postcode,
- Is it an indoor or outdoor event,
- Number of attendees,
- Start time,
- End time.
A small explanation of the type of event will also help us on our way - every event is different and we aim to provide you with the most personalised of quotes.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to anyone looking for a DJ is to find a professional who takes the job seriously - make sure they are insured and have all the correct documents in place (appliance testing, liability insurance etc) - this usually stands the professionals apart from someone just hoping to make a quick buck.
A professional is also likely to have invested in their kit and be courteous at all times and above all they will do their utmost to make sure your event goes perfectly - supporting you every step of the way!
Most importantly they will turn up and should something happen they will have a backup plan in place or linked with a network of other DJs to support in a crisis.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Music runs in the family - following in my father's footsteps as a parties, events and wedding DJ I have now branched out on my own! I have a huge passion for music, not just personally but also professionally having studied it for GCSE and A Level. Even now in my day job I am never to be found without earphones in listening to music of all genres when not in meetings.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have been fortunate to receive a lot of bookings through the Add to Event platform and have received 5 star reviews for all of them - we collate our feedback on our google business profile so feel free to check them out. The Add to Event platform is easy to use and simple, I have used it both as a supplier and client and recommend to many!
All of our events receive the same level of care and attention to detail - working with the clients to develop the setups for their event - we provide access to all of our kit rather than a tiered package approach (Bronze, Silver & Gold - with varying levels of kit).
What does this mean?
Well if a client books us we will use all of the equipment at our disposal to facilitate their event and venue and adapt as required.
We always go above and beyond too! A recent example was supporting a charity's anniversary event and they needed a microphone stand for the awards presentation, this was no issue as we purchased one to facilitate this.
