What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for ourselves to provide a detailed quote we ideally like to speak to the customer to ascertain their vision of their event. Once we receive that information we would be able to proceed. We are also able to provide indicative quotes based on the completed posting.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking for a DJ for your event the best advice we would give is to speak to your DJ and work closely with them on your event. A good DJ will want to discuss themes or colour choices for events not to mention music selection for the evening. You should also check any DJ's credentials against industry bodies such as The National Association of DJs as this reinforces their commitment to their role. Lastly though however a good DJ will love their job and be as enthusiastic about your event as you are. You should not settle for less than this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Working as a club DJ across the North of England and Europe for over 20 years I decided about 3 years I wanted to move into DJ'ing private events such as weddings, birthday parties and corporate events. Looking at the current market there were only a few DJs offering services which I would describe as club level so NSC Entertainment was set up to bring the party using only the best equipment on the market.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Traditionally event DJs would be booked by way of word of mouth only and there was very little choice as some organisers would feel obliged to stick with a traditional DJ. Platforms such as Add to Event and others are the modern way of booking and give the organisers of events more choice and a better range of services. We would highly recommend using Add to Event for your event as all requests can be stored in the same place, messages exchanged and quotations received. It makes organising your event a much more modern efficient way of doing this.
