What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to be able to provide you with a quote we would firstly need a date of the event and a confirmed venue. Another important factor is the space and location for us to use our fire and charcoal BBQ as this is part and parcel of the cooking and experience we offer. We can also offer indoor catering events provide that we have access to indoor kitchens.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check reviews and comments online from previous customers. Ask lots of questions to make sure you are agreed on the service you require.
We would like customers to know that our style of food is both BBQ and Braai so in order to do this we would need space for me to cook on drums or BBQ. Hence lighting fires and coals is our way of doing our cooking.

Smoke & Braai was started following our passion for Fire cooking and low n slow BBQ.
We love both worlds and hence we love bringing out take or twists to the different cuisines that cook over fire and coals.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We did a private Wedding in Rutland last year 2022 which was our first wedding event. We catered for the whole event including day and evening food.
We were able to offer and fusion of low n slow bbq and Braai. In the evening we also did masa corn tortilla tacos with low n slow BBQ smoked meats and Braai meats as well as vegan options.
