When we do quotes to a customer we need the date of course. How many people as we usually quote per head? What are your dietary requirements? We also need to know how much space is available and how do we have access to that space to carry heavy equipment. The distance as there is a lot of equipment to carry?The seating/eating situation so that cutlery needs to be supplied and what people will eat on.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
What food is supplied and how much food as you need to know if you are eating enough or need to upgrade your packages. You can ask the provider if they have a menu or package PDF to show you different courses you can order. Are there drinks supplied or add those to your package?
What happens after the event? who cleans up and what part of the service does your package include? How many staff are included for the amount of people we have?
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started our business in farming and growing our own produce and expanded from there into a cafe as we love to cook. We then moved into catering as we do lots of it at the farm shop and wanted everyone to have a great experience in BBQ'ing and enjoying themselves while being served great food. Being South African originally we grew up with BBQ/Braais on a weekly basis so born to love cooking meat and BBQ.
