Too Perfection provide a bespoke event catering service throughout Oxfordshire and beyond. With fully customisable menus ranging from finger buffets to formal sit-down dinners, Too Perfection never use anything that has been stored frozen and then cooked, and only use the best local meat from a trusted local butcher which is hand-made into the burgers and sausages used. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, ideally we need to know how many people you are looking to cater for, the type of food you would like (including how many courses), the kitchen facilities available on site and if you require any waiting staff.
If you have preferred dishes that you would like to include, this is great! It's gives us a better idea of your needs and allows us to price accordingly. A 3 course meal could range from £18 to £60 a head but, if we have a good idea of what you are looking for, we can provide you with a suitable menu.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get an understanding, from your BBQ caterer, as to the ingredients that they will be using. You may receive a quote for a BBQ, for example, that is only £7.50 per head. Another provider may have quoted £12 for what looks to be exactly the same. Are the ingredients fresh and good quality, though? In our case, all of our meats are fresh with burgers and sausages produced by local butchers - nothing is frozen or bought in bulk. Understand exactly what you are paying for - are cutlery and crockery included? Are there any additional dishes included? Salads etc.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Annika and I have both been involved in catering for most of our lives. I grew up in pubs from the age of 8 and was always in and around the kitchen. Annika has worked in the industry for 23 years.

We looked at what other companies were offering and firmly believed that we could do better. Our customers agree that that's exactly what we have done.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Every event is great! Putting a smile on people's faces with great food is one of the best feelings we can have.

After a recent BBQ in Surbiton, having fed 50 guests at a garden party, we cleared away and were just about to make a quiet retreat, but our lovely hosts wouldn't let us leave until we had been rewarded with a short "thank you" speech by them to their guests. This was followed by a standing ovation from all of the guests. We've never felt more proud of our work!
