Roxie's BBQ Spot provide BBQ-themed cuisine throughout Westminster and beyond. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Once I know the event location, type of event and number of guests I can provide an initial quote for BBQ catering. When that's done we can then open a dialogue to discuss menu wants and needs. I have a few standard options but can offer a range of menus tailored to your taste.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is important for you to talk with a trader so that you get a feel for their knowledge and interest. A trader that has specific knowledge about BBQing, meat and smoke can be better trusted to provide a meal that will be above expectations. You should also get a good idea of what equipment the trader has and if it will fit your space and suit your needs.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have worked in kitchens in restaurants for over 10 years. I felt that working this way was too impersonal and the stuffiness of restaurants is something that didn't interest me any further. I wanted to connect with my customers on a different level, able to discuss the food, what I do and why. I decided that street food was the way forward. Sharing my love of BBQing and food at your events feels like a great step forward along this tangent in my career.
