What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Whether the event is to be held indoors or outdoors.
If the organisers will pay for me to attend and offer " free services" or if customers at the event will pay individually.
How many they expect to attend
If they require any extras i.e. Hair braiding, alongside the face painting.
Private or corporate event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
How much experience they have painting
What type of paints they use i. E. Non-toxic
If they use professional-grade equipment such as split cakes
If they have experience working with a range of people such as autistic children, or the elderly?
If they can provide on the spot changes/ designs or if they stick to a certain number of predesigned characters (eg I have worked for cancer charities and people have asked for the ribbon painted on them, or angel wings for a loved one they lost, or the autism puzzle piece)
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have a degree in specialist makeup and during the course, I was introduced to body painting. Having worked with children for many years previously I adapted the skill and found I enjoyed being able to make kids so happy with something I equally enjoyed providing.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There was an ever so sweet private party I had the pleasure to paint at where every single one of the little girls wanted to be a different coloured unicorn and once painted, I let them try to paint one on me as well and we trotted around the garden until I had to leave.
