First of all, we would need to know if it is for a party or an all-day event. Party wise, we would need to know if there are any special requests, such as a mermaid-themed party for example. Event wise, we would need to know if it is for charity or if it is just a craft fair needing stall-holders. We would need to know the date, time, location and the number of guests expected. What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always check if a provider has Public Liability Insurance. You can also ask for proof of a current DBS check if you are responsible for a large group of vulnerable people. You can also ask about what products a provider uses and ask for the health and safety guidelines of these products.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Casey's face painting started as just a Facebook page, where I would post my practice work. Eventually, it developed into being asked to do parties and events, few and far between. After a few years break from the page and also having my son and taking a break from work I was unhappy in and take care of my son. I went back onto it, did some maintenance and really pushed it further and to my surprise and amazement, I started to receive bookings. Now we are fully established and plan to start offering glitter tattoos in the new year.
