Mazz Hannah, Hair, Face and Body Art is a Sheffield based face and body artist that caters for a wide range of events, from children's birthday parties to weddings, hen do's, stag do's, festivals and family gatherings.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to give an accurate quote, I need to know where the event will be taking place, what services you will be needing, and how many guests will be attending. From this I can suggest how long you will need to book me for to keep all your guests happy, and what packages I would be able to offer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The main thing is that you like the look of the body artist's work. If I were looking to book another artist to come and work with me I would be asking to see a copy of their public liability insurance, and a picture of their set up. If they don't keep their kit clean and organised or they don't have insurance, I can't have that person come and work with me, I wouldn't want to risk the health and safety of anyone we paint!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I trained as a hair and makeup artist for film, tv, fashion and theatre, including SFX, and as part of my course we had a 2 day workshop on face and body art and I fell in love! I love the creative challenges it poses and I love the 'mirror moment' when people see what they look like for the firs time, you can really make someones day.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've had a few events through Add to Event, and I have a couple coming up which I am also really excited about too! But the best one so far would be a Mario Kart themed birthday party. All the children were really lovely, the hosts really took care of me and everyone appreciated what I did, and the host left me a lovely review! What more can you ask for?
