What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The majority of the equipment we hire have set prices - so we would need to know which equipment they would want to hire. The only exception is our Mobile Disco Hire which is based on a quote. We would also need to know the event date and time.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is always important to make sure that whichever supplier you choose to book with have insurance, it could put your event at risk if they don't. If using electrical equipment, make sure they are PAT tested. Rest assured, CJ Entertainment Hire have the correct documentation which is available upon request.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Chris the owner of CJ Entertainment Hire has always had a passion to one day run a business and there's no better industry than entertainment! After providing mobile discos for 5 years as a business, Chris wanted to go further into the entertainment field and provide a whole variety of equipment.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We receive several enquiries on a daily basis from Add to Event, all of which have been an incredible success! One of which stood out in particular was a stressed out parent frantically looking for a bouncy castle for her son's birthday party after another supplier had let her down. The party was the next day and as I'm sure you can imagine, the customer was in a tricky situation! No one wants to let down 20+ kids. CJ Entertainment Hire reached out and responded to their enquiry within minutes. After 30 minutes of deciding which bouncy castle they wanted, it was all booked in with a secure deposit and the party was saved!
