What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need to know the location of where you would like to have your makeup applied, along with the time of day/evening and how many people having the service. From there we can work out a time schedule and put together a suitable quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly I would need to know if you have any allergies that you know of, or if you're uncertain of products that might cause any irritation. Patch tests on the wrist can be done prior to your event.
Makeup is always a personal preference, remember if you want a certain makeup style that a celebrity has, I can certainly help achieve this by adapting it to suit YOUR bone structure.
A good skincare routine is important prior to your makeup application for many reasons, mainly because the makeup will 'sit' better and last longer. I recommend a regular cleanse, tone, moisturise every day, and exfoliate 1-2 times a week up to 3 months before your wedding day.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my Makeup business in 2005 simply because it was the one thing I always loved from a young age before the internet! I have always been fascinated with beauty and blending makeup to perfection. I left my conference organising job to follow my passion, and never looked back. I've been lucky enough to work in this industry with some great photographers, models and VIPS including teaching MUA's at Kryolan City London.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've had many bookings through this platform but the one that will stay with me was for a bride who had never worn it before. She was apprehensive as she'd seen other brides in magazines but didn't like them as she thought the makeup was too much. After a 3 hour trial, we were finally able to create the look she wanted. She was so happy... we have since become great friends and I am her personal MUA for her events.
