What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

When requesting a quote, please be as specific as possible so we can fine-tune your catering requirements!
It's really helpful to provide details such as what the event is; i.e 'Great Grandmas Birthday Party', or 'Our Daughters Graduation', this immediately helps us design the right menu for you, such as making sure the menu is accessible for a more senior palette :-)
Also, please try and give as much detail as possible as to things like, "I would like an informal affair" or "Black and White Service Please"

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Remember to mention Intolerances or any particular thing you DO NOT want to see there.
Remember that if you would like a hot or mixed buffet, the caterer will need access to cooking facilities, so bear that in mind if you're having your wedding in a field! :-)
Be very clear about the budget. With the increasing cost of products and services, it simply isn't feasible to ask for a Hilton style meal if the budget is 10p.
Think about what you really want from your event and be very open with your supplier - They want to work with you!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Rasen Catering is now into its third generation of Chefs, with Grandma starting it up as 'Kirby Kitchens' (N. Yorks) back in the late '70s. We are simply crazy about cuisine and when we're not working, we're dining out or creating at home!
Rasen Catering was born as a result of Gran's business because, let's face it, if you're going to do a job it should be something you love to do!
There's no better feeling than when someone beams with delight and one can know, they've done that :-)

Add to Event is a good platform and we have been with you since the early days.
There are many leads generated daily and we have met some great people through the service and also gained new contacts and leads.
