What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It is always good to know where the event is taking place, the number of attendees, the type of event, any specific preference such as dietary requirements or special requests. An essential part is knowing the budget of the organiser; this allows room for negotiation and reaching a final decision.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Customers are advised to check out their online business profile which will show the quality of handiwork the person has been involved with, and the creativeness of the cake decorator. With so many cake decorators, there is every aspiration to push boundaries and to think outside of the box.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Bim's Delight has grown out of a passion for cakes right from a young age. Watching my mum decorate all of our birthday cakes (mine and my siblings) opened my eyes to see the creative aspect of cake making. Not only have I developed myself by attending cake decorating classes, I also constantly bake for family and friends to help improve my skills further. Moreover, I attended my first ever cake international competition this year, which gave me the aspiration to be best at what I love doing. Every cake I make is made lovingly and wholeheartedly with a passion to please the client. With every cake, I become better and I look forward to continue to harnessing my already developed skill.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

On Add to Event, my best booking came from a Fun in the Park event at Chapmans Green, which was held in September 2017. This event was organised by a group of volunteers looking to make use of parks and green spaces in the borough of Haringey. I held a stall selling cupcakes and cakes and the response was amazing from the locals. As the owner of a growing business, it was nice to connect with the local people and see them enjoy my home baked goodies with my coconut cake being by far the most popular of them all. I would definitely recommend Add to Event to all my friends, as it takes away a lot of stress from planning an event. It is a very effective way of connecting service providers to potential clients
