What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally I need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests and a location. From this, I can offer the best entertainment package and a price quote
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the artist about their experience and training, I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone who is still in training so why hire an amateur to entertain your guests? Ask the artist if they walkabout and entertain or if they sit at an easel and create a queue, as these are different performers. Always ask to see examples of their live drawings, as an indication of quality, not just their finished studio work, which may have taken far longer.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started drawing live at events after I left University with my illustration degree and took to it like a duck to water, that was 27 years ago! Since then I have risen to the peak of my profession and accomplished dizzying heights in my efforts to entertain people. I love showing off and making people smile, which has driven me to fine-tune my entertainment skills, instead of just sitting at an easel in a corner. I now perform on live TV and have entertained many well-known celebrities.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am new to this platform and have only had a few bookings so far, but they went smoothly and the enquiries keep coming in. Add to Event is an invaluable source of leads for me and I would not hesitate to recommend them for all your event needs.
