What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an accurate quote, we require the event date and short explanation about the event and the menus they are interested in having. how many guests are attending?
Also is the venue indoors or outdoors, and access. if they require marquee or other relevant types of equipment, water and electric.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The main thing is the quality of the food, the experience they have providing the relevant service they are looking for. Check reviews and perhaps ask to taste their food.
Check if they include staff or equipment, and how long they will provide the service for.
Also, check if they are aware of your special dietary requirements before you book them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Spark food is a family run catering company, having worked in the catering industry for 20 years, running events in London and South. We decided to start our own company using our expertise in the kitchen and the front of house.
We really focus on the food we produce for our customer, making sure it's fresh and local and seasonal. We have a team of chefs that come from all parts of the world and they can bring so many ideas and menus to the table.
