What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The venue, approximately how many guests, if there are any special dietary requirements, is it indoor or outdoor, are there any stairs to the serving/cooking area, the type of event hosted and the date an time service is required.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at the star rating for hygiene, if there isn’t one – avoid. Ask about the provenance of all fresh food, ask for public liability insurance, ask for customer feedback, if you have an idea for something bespoke ask if they will talk it through with you. If the price seems very cheap, there will be a reason!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have been a master butcher for many years and am passionate about the provenance of fresh food and good service. I had been asked by many friends to recommend and help out at BBQ’s and Hog Roasts, so over 14 years ago I decided to put my experience into practice.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had a few through Add to Event and every event is special and unique and at Hog Roast Redditch Co. we like to discuss exactly what you want and how you want it to be served, so the event is bespoke to your individual requirements. All produce is selected by me and cooked from fresh, whether it is a whole Hog roast, Louisiana Beef, Pork ribs, Salmon kebabs or Paella to name but a few.
