The Dream That You Wish provide amazing theme party entertainment for children. Here they take a few minutes out of their busy schedule to tell you a bit about how they got into the business and what to look for in your next children's entertainment supplier.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote to a customer we need to know the required theme of the event, age and gender of party child and guests, budget you have available for entertainment, how long the entertainer is required to attend, number of guests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ensure all entertainers have a current DBS certificate. Ask what the company specialise in as we offer an alternative to other companies. Do you require other services as we work closely with other complimentary companies to ensure an overal great experience.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My background is as a Prop and Costume maker for a specialist display company. I have been extremely lucky to have been involved with creating some of the most beautiful and fun seasonal window displays for West London Stores such as Liberty's, Hamley's and Disney Stores. After having my own children I gained qualifications in make up design for TV and film and worked on short films and music videos. Starting off in the party business as a Face Painter I worked alongside other entertainment companies. It was then that I realised there was a need for a different and more modern approach to children's entertainment. I wanted to create a magical experience for the whole family to enjoy by combining all of my skills.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well this is a hard question as every party and event has been unique. Our biggest challenge was to create a Circus party based on The Greatest Showman for a 6 year old girl. For me I wanted to create the feel of the circus with backdrop, lights and effects. I could see the parents and children's eyes light up when the set was lifted high and the lights went on. We then started our show with a colourful parade. All the party guests had minutes to rehearse. They did a wonderful job and all the parents applauded. The party girl sang and the whole experience was magical.
