What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need an estimated number of guests, a brief explanation of the event, the event date and ideally whether it's an indoor or outdoor space. We can then send details of our most suitable packages and the estimated cost.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would personally look for a provider that has photos and an online presence. Don't be afraid to ask questions because this is the providers area of expertise and questions should be able to be answered honestly and thoroughly. Sometimes I don't know the answer, it could be that the customer is asking for something new but I'm always willing to try to accommodate all requests and be as flexible as possible.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I first started the business back in August 2013 when my second son was 1 year old. The thought of returning to work after maternity made me so upset. Luckily for me, a franchise came up for sale at exactly the right time meaning I could be flexible and work around my children. 18 months later I left the franchise and set up alone. My degree is in Graphic Design and I've always been creative, combining my love of art and crafts with my love of working with children is absolutely perfect for me.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
It's hard to choose a specific booking because I genuinely love each and every party that I host. They're all so different and unique. If I have to choose though it will be one I hosted last year in Llandudno, it was a very special 1st birthday party for a little boy who lives in Italy with his parents, it happened to also be the very first time he'd ever met his grandparents and other family members. It was so lovely to be part of such a special occasion.
