What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to give you a detailed quotation, I need to know the event date, time, duration, location (or area), child's age and the number of children likely to be in attendance, as well as some idea of their likes and dislikes. It can also be useful to know how big the venue is and if you intend to hire other entertainment, for example, a face painter or bouncy castle. Some of our entertainment requires the whole space or would not fit alongside inflatables.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you seek reviews, whether that be through Add to Event, the supplier's Facebook page, their website, or other review providers. A quick Google will show you how bona fide a company is and give you peace of mind. Also look to see how long they have been established and check to see if they're insured.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I used to be a professional dancer and performer, and then I became a dance teacher. I started running parties during the school holidays and since then my business has snowballed. I love providing memorable special moments that children will remember forever, as well as reducing the stress for parents. I feel that my experience educating and performing to children is an excellent synergy to leading children's entertainment.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Within 24 hours of joining Add to Event, I had made my first booking. A week has passed and I now have two confirmed bookings and a stream of daily enquiries.
