They also offer circus workshops and character walkabouts. Here they share their story and some advice for choosing entertainers for your party.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote for a customer, we require an overview of their event: date, timeframe, number of guests, type of entertainment desired. We also need to know if the customer requires two entertainers, or one. From this information, we can create a party plan and quote. :)
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Inquire about the experience the provider has working with children as an entertainer. Make sure this provider has positive feedback from other parents using them as an entertainer. Ponder if you think this entertainer enjoys their work and if you think they would make your party/event special.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Surprise! was created to make memorable experiences for children at their birthday parties. Clown Tolly has over 10 years as a children's entertainer and many years as a clown, Sanna has worked with children as a dance teacher, and nanny for 10 years. Together, Tolly and Sanna love to create unique entertaining and play experiences for children.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Our first booking was on New Year's Eve two years ago at a large Baptist church, where we entertained 60 children for 4 hours non-stop. While we now, don't typically take parties this large, we certainly pulled it off that night! Our energy, creativity, and ability to work so well as a team, made this party a big success with very happy customers. :)
