What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide an accurate quote I would request the date, location, start time and finish time of event as well as the performance slot you have in mind. I will need to know which skill-sets you would like included as I am happy to repeat one act or offer a combination. Would you expect me to perform indoors or outdoors? Depending on the time of year and daylight, my fire and LED acts are more visual at dusk / dark. If performing fire indoors this can impact the props I can use due to safe space. I would also request any theme or colour scheme for costuming ideas.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would cross check with the venue for each act and ensure they are happy with the performance from a safety perspective. A copy of my public liability and risk assessment can be emailed over prior to confirming. I would ensure the acts fit in with the schedule and any other entertainment planned. I would check it is suitable for the theme or guest demographic. For example an interactive and chatty stilt walker might be more fun for a family event than a fire performance maintaining 3 metre clearance from guests.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I completed a BA Hons Dance and worked at various holiday parks and resorts across the UK and abroad. As part of the variety shows I was encouraged to add circus skills to my performances. When I returned to the UK I decided to continue as a freelance performer and specialise in events, weddings and corporate entertainment. I've now been working across the UK for over 10 years.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I was booked as a Fire Performer and LED act in March 2023. The venue was spectacular and event decor beautiful. I welcomed guests with a fantastic photo opportunity fire performance at the entrance then surprised the party indoors with pixel LED with a programmed personal message for the birthday girl. Everyone was mesmerized.
