What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We would need to know the type of look the client is trying to create - for example a rustic country style. We would also need to know the event date, so we can check availability. Lastly, the number of guests and if there is enough space available at the venue to accommodate our equipment.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should always ask how long the company has been in business. Ask companies if you can view furniture you are interested in. Make sure the company has the right insurance's e.g public liability etc.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The opportunity came about when my farther-in-law was looking for a partner to start a new business with. I have always loved the outdoors and didn't want to work in an office forever. I am creative and wanted to share this with potential clients.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We did a big fun day for Amazon back in June, for 560 of their employees through Add to Event. They were really lucky with a beautiful hot, sunny, day. The furniture had to be delivered on Friday afternoon and then collected on Saturday evening after the event had finished. Yes, we would recommend Add to Event to other companies.
