What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote, ideally we need to know the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event that they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the venue, whether it's indoor or outdoor. From this, we can put together a couple of ideas and quotes.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the products and services they are offering. Are their cocktails made fresh in front of you or are they serving pre-batched cocktails? This is a big one if you're looking for a cocktail bar! Also, check out their photos of the set-up, the drinks they are serving, how they're being served, check out the glassware. Make sure what they offer it's the type of event you're hosting.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Muddled Lime Fine Cocktails and Bars was born out of Jay, the owner's love for fine beverages. Jay left school and went straight into the hospitality industry working as a concierge for a luxury hotel in Knightsbridge where he was drawn into the allure of a suave cocktail bar. Fast forward a few more jobs in the industry and a global pandemic Muddled Lime was born. Jay and the Muddled Lime team are now quickly becoming known for being the place to come for all things booze and cocktails!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've been lucky to have been selected for a couple of events through Add to Event which have been great for us. We provided a bar serving beers, wines, spirits and mixers and cocktails for an art gallery opening in London which was really fun! We served our famous beer can cocktails which went down really well with the students and guests of the event in Henley on Thames.
