The Roaming Caravan Co
The Roaming Caravan Co provide vintage 1970s caravans renovated into bespoke mobile cocktail bars which are provided throughout Wales and the wider UK. Events will benefit from a specially designed caravan-bar with an in-built chiller, bar service and even warm drinks served by experienced staff and come as a dry bar, cash bar or paid bar.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote for a cocktail bar request, we need to know the date of the event, the location of event (if it falls within our radius), desired service time (how many hours they would like us for) and approximate number of guests. This can determine whether they will reach the likely minimum spend for their event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask about availability, but also state why you like the product they're offering. What attracted you to them and how they can make your event the best possible. Often, small businesses such as ours love any feedback and will strive to make your event the best it can be. Ask about menu options and what limitations (if any) there are in place.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started the business on our return to the UK from New Zealand. Not quite wanting to give up the outdoors lifestyle, we sought to create a business that gave us freedom whilst also doing something we're very passionate about. With a background in marketing and events, it made perfect sense to set up a mobile cocktail bar.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
As we're a new company, we've received two bookings through Add to Event which are yet to take place but we are really looking forward to. It's a great platform to reach customers and we can't wait to use it more and more throughout the year. It was recommended by another local supplier and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the platform to anyone else!
