Cafe2U Aberdeen South is a gourmet espresso coffee and snacks van serving award-winning coffee and hot chocolate with expertise and love at a very competitive price and can accommodate all types of outdoor events with style. They also share some tips on when booking a supplier for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For any event the base details are key. Initially time, date and venue. Possible numbers are always great to have so we have an idea of what we are looking to cater. If the client has a budget either per head or for the entire event although appreciate that this is not always possible at the initial stages.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Being based in the coffee and snacks sector we are a bit obvious in what we provide. However, if the client knows of any lactose intolerant or any other very specific dietary issues they are always handy to know in advance. Ensure that the provider has all the essential documents for health and safety. If an outdoor event ensures the provider has its own power supply as these can be costly to arrange.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Cafe2U Aberdeen was purchased to allow me to have better work-life balance initially. My background is in 4-star hotels and restaurants which is a lifestyle in itself. With a young family in tow, I decided to join the band of self-employment. To ensure success from the start I looked at a franchise style in an area that matched my background and hey presto, into year 5 of trading in a heartbeat.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Very new to Add to Event and have only just had my first event booked. Although within a few days of signing up the enquiry came in and has been very easy to use and understand. I’m sure future events will be quick in coming. I have put Add to Event forward to the master franchise to see if we can put it out via our newsletter to the rest of the UK.
