Chida (Meaning AWESOME in Spanish) is an exciting mobile coffee cart hire service bringing coffee to the UK event scene. The coffee bar brings a high street artisan coffee experience to private parties, weddings, film production and corporate events.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Chida to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we would need to know the amount of guests that you need serving hot drinks to, we would need to know the potential venue or location, whether it is indoors or outdoor event (we can pack our gazebo), do you require any cake or pastry options. If it is a corporate event would you like any branding options and the date of the event.
Once we have all this information we will be able to create a quote for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the service provider the amount of experience they have making barista coffees and if they can cope under pressure serving multiple people.
It is easy for someone to say they can make a coffee, which they possibly can. However, from experience some baristas will unintentionally lower their quality of coffee as the pressure of a busy coffee bar gets to them.
I would look to see what equipment is being used and the quality of the bean being used as this can make a difference to the cup of coffee crafted.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Australia is famous the world over for its artisan coffee and in particular Melbourne, the coffee capital.
Before relocating to the UK, I spent 12 years working in Melbourne, as a Head Barista, working in numerous busy city centre cafes.
I want to bring a piece of the coffee experience to coffee lovers around the UK at events, and so Chida exists to bridge the gap of serving decent Café quality coffee at any event anywhere.
