What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In putting a quote together we specifically like to know the number of guests expected to the event and an understanding of their dietary requirements. We provide cake and hot food bowls with choices that vary. Our hot food facility only provides for one choice at a time and therefore it is really important to communicate this at the initial communications. We love to talk to our potential customers and therefore encourage people to call us or let us call them, rather than assume everything via email.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't be afraid to say no to something - if it doesn't fit exactly with what you want then your provider is not going to be able to offer the very best service - we would rather not do an event than do it anything less than excellently. You are only as good as your last event!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Defender Blender was conceived out of a love of coffee and a love of Landrover Defenders! After a lifetime of being in an office and in front of a screen, it was time to get out into the cold and meet some fabulous people. We are very much enjoying our change in direction!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are new to Add to Event so have not had the privilege yet of completing an event. We DO however have bookings and I am DELIGHTED with this platform and how it works and would definitely recommend. We are filling up our diary very nicely and very much look forward to completing our first event through this portal. The most common thing I have noticed to date is just how lovely all the enquirers are - so friendly to talk with and so eager to hear what it is we have to offer and how we can make their event the very best time possible.
