FAWN provide a fully serviced mobile cafe/bar available to hire, making for a hassle-free solution for your next event! They have both a bar on wheels in the form of a vintage 1974 caravan, as well as a smaller, indoor, 'pop-up' bar unit for office and home parties.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide the best estimate for your event we need to know the event date and times, how many guests are attending, and how many items you'd like each guest to be served. Using this information we can provide details of the relevant packages we can offer. Additionally we need to know if power can be provided and if we have indoor/outdoor setup space and access so we can apply the correct booking fee.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our main advice would be to find a supplier that matches your values or expectations around the chosen product. Many people can offer coffee but are you looking for a budget-friendly fast service option, or a high quality, passion-fuelled cuppa with years of knowledge behind it? Ask the right questions to ensure the product is exactly what you want to offer your guests, it's not just about the look of the stand that will get you great feedback on your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Fawn was born out of a need for high-quality coffee and cocktails away from the city. Having moved away from London to the countryside we realised we had product knowledge that couldn't easily be found in our local area. With years of hospitality experience and a drive to start our own project, we were well-suited to providing top-quality drinks for events throughout the South West. The name Fawn came from the vintage caravan unit that we converted into our cafe on wheels, but it remains at the core of our business as our ethos and motivation. New, young life, starting their own journey. This was us, and is now the people and suppliers that we support as a people focussed business.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has provided us with so many great bookings throughout the year that it has become an integral part of our business plan. In and around public events any event-based business survives through corporate bookings, weddings and private events. This platform has given us the exposure and means to connect with customers within our chosen working area. It allows us to create a business profile to best showcase our services and provides the ability to find opportunities we would otherwise have missed. Through Add to Event we have connected with corporate companies such as a developer who opens new housing estates, warehouses and all manner of new building services. We have now become a regular contractor for them providing hot drinks at various openings of their new buildings around the area. For relationships such as this Add to Event is fantastic, and great value too. We would definitely recommend it to any new start-up in events.
