What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We need to know the date and venue address. We also need to know how many guests they anticipate will be there and what type of event it is. It also really helps if they give us as much information about where we will be stationed and what facilities are available to us so that we can plan properly.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask them the type of events that they usually do and what their specialities are. You also need to know that all of the equipment has the necessary safety paperwork and that they have public liability insurance in place. You also need to be clear on what time you would like your guests to be fed and ask them what time they need to be on site to achieve this and how long they are prepared to stay.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We booked Bluebell the floral caravan for our own wedding and once she was on site realised how much she brightened the place up and made everyone who saw her smile. I am an Events Manager by day so when the opportunity came up to buy Bluebell and revamp her it made perfect sense to combine my experience with the love of Bluebell!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is a fantastic service for us to use. We can see where the event will be held and what the person is looking for to make their event special. We recently did an 18th birthday party and fed 65 people with crepes and waffles. Everyone loved Bluebell and said it made the day even more special so much so at the end when we went to say goodbye we had a standing ovation! A fantastic day with lovely people and seeing them happy made us happy as we love doing what we do.
