Blooming Fabulous Flowers is an event décor and prop hire business based in Windsor. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to respond to a potential customer with a full quote, in addition to the usual date, location and service, we will need the following:
* type of event
* theme
* whether it's an inside or outside event
We can then use our experience to pull together a great quote which fits the brief.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would suggest reading the reviews as these will give the client the confidence that the provider can deliver the brief on time and in full. Look at the photos so you can see the quality of their work. Look at their website and other social media channels so you can get a feel of the type of business they are and finally don't be afraid to ask questions.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

A long time ago I was trained by my Mum who had a successful floristry business in Windsor. I left to work in sales and marketing but knew that I wanted to run my business which combined my love of floristry and event decor hire. There was a definite gap in the market for amazing quality products which people could hire to add the WOW factor to their event. So five years ago, with a blank piece of paper and lots of ideas Blooming Fabulous Flowers Events was born. The first product we bought was a flower wall. We now have in excess of 50 different hire products so these overlaid with floristry enables us to deliver in excess of 100 weddings and 200 events every year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

So many special weddings and events to choose from but one which demonstrates our success from being on this platform is a booking we had two years ago to supply eight light-up letters to a party at the client's home. We installed DREAM BIG at the client's house who was hosting a team event. The letters looked amazing in the garden and provided the perfect backdrop to the day's events.

Nothing special I hear you say but the real measure of success is that this client has now booked us for multiple events and are classed as 'repeat clients' which every successful business strives to have.
