What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to give the most comprehensive quote its best to give us as much information as possible, such as where the event is, how long the event will be for, how many the event will be for. It is best to be clear about what you want us to do and do you want us to come up with ideas or do you have some pictures of the type of thing you like. We are always happy to discuss on the phone, via email or come and look at the venue to discuss all options.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would look at their website and Facebook and Instagram to see the pictures of previous work they have done. Check how much experience they have and if they are insured. I would also look for price lists and that they are happy to meet you in person if needed. Any provider should be able to give you ideas and also accommodate yours. Although cost is a consideration you must be able to trust them and most companies should go above and beyond to make the event special.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Occasion-all Events came from my previous job in organising and running charity events. A true love of organisation and making things perfect! There is nothing better than being part of a special event and making it easier for the host. It was important to be able to help in most areas of weddings and events and also have a large book of other suppliers we trust to work with too. The aim is if you want and imagine it, we will get it done!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have just finished a wonderful wedding in Hinchingbrooke Country Park, it has been great to be involved right from the beginning and come up with ideas and help in all aspects. Being involved so closely really does bring us close to the bride & groom, we were able to find a new DJ when theirs let them down and we could help advise them on a cake maker too. Its been a pleasure to work through Add to Event and would recommend them to other suppliers and most importantly to people looking for help in their events. It's great to be able to help clients through such a platform bringing us all together and have told other professionals in the industry to sign up!
