What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order for us to provide a comprehensive quote for a potential client, we would need the event date, time, venue details, type of event being hosted, the number of guests and ideally the items you would like us to supply.
This will give us a great starting point for discussion.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would definitely look at their social media, website and any reviews they may have so you can get a feel of the type of events they have designed previously. Make contact and ask them about any possible ideas for your event design and whether the stock is likely to be cross-hired. Some companies have limited stock but may have good connections with other stylists and can obtain items for you if required. You want to make sure that the items being used for your event are of top quality every time but you also want to feel confident that they will deliver the promises.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I remember planning our wedding on a shoestring budget, looking at gorgeous decorations and longing to have something similar so we could feel like royalty just for the day but struggling to find companies that could offer some cheap but decent decor. I have always loved designing and after the privilege of working with a friend sometime after she started her decor company. I still noticed that the market was aimed at those with more cash to splash so Exquisite Klass was born out of a passion for providing high-end decor for those who would normally not be able to afford it.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Oh wow! I am so glad I found Add to Event. I have met some great people and love getting the emails to see who I can assist next.
To pick one event, I would say it was doing a small balloon set for a fundraising event for a lovely young lady who experiences over 200 seizures a day and was campaigning for treatment. The theme was Mad Hatter's cream tea ( Alice in Wonderland). A number of different suppliers came together and the venue was transformed into a beautiful scene and the event was enjoyed by all. I have recommended Add to Event to many people and will continue to do so. I have signed up to a few other events sites but this is by far the best. Come and join in!
