What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote we need the event date, the venue details, a brief explanation as to the type of event and most importantly their budget.

Whether the event will be held indoors or outdoors and what specifically they are looking for. We can give ideas and help tailor our service but as much information as possible as to what is required, for example table decorations, to quote we would need to know how many tables.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at their social media accounts. Previous work is the best indication of what you are going to get for your event. It will also give you an idea of how long they have been trading and you may pick up ideas for things you may like at your function.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are 2 friends who met when our children started nursery. We spent a lot of time doing exercise and shopping and decided we wanted to start a business. Prop hire was the beginnings of our business but before long customers wanted balloons to go with our props so we taught ourselves how to create garlands and set ups to make our props look even more fabulous. As we grow we are moving more into personalised gifts and corporate event decorating but we still love a wedding and a party!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a booking last week through Add to Event, the client gave us an amazing review and said that she had received lots of comments about how amazing the balloons and backdrops looked from her guests. One guest has in fact already enquired about us supplying lights and balloons at her upcoming 60th birthday party.
