A Little Hire is a family run business specialising in bespoke giant illuminated letters and numbers for hire throughout East Anglia and beyond. They make all the letters and numbers themselves, so anything is possible, their aim is to help make your venue look amazing and personalised for you.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote, I need the location of the event, the amount of time/days items are needed for and ideally the date so I can check my availability.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask about how they deal if their light up letters aren’t working! This is a big one for me, I’ve made all my letters myself and know how they work, so I’m confident mine will always work as I know how to fix them. I’ve known customers that have been let down by suppliers of light up letters because the supplier doesn’t know how their letters work!
I would also ask about what bulbs are used. Thirdly, what the letters are made of, as some are not made from strong/durable products and can break/damage easily.
Lastly, Always ask for photos of their items, as sometimes letters aren't always the same, and some can be difficult to distinguish what letter they are actually meant to be!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business because I wanted to work for myself and be independent. I wanted to work with happy customers excited about events they are planning and being a part of happy occasions, I love what I do and making people smile.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I love Add to Event, I’ve been a member for a few years, but more recently started to give more quotes after expanding the area I’ll deliver to, as I’m trying to regrow my business after the pandemic!
I find the quotes go smoothly and it’s easy to interact with people. If I get a personal request from my website which I’m unable to provide for, I always recommend people use Add to Event to help them find another local supplier.
