What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Where the event is and the type of event. Next, it's the number of guests and the duration you would need our services for. Finally, a rough budget you are willing to spend on the event. We gather all this information so where recommend a bespoke package that best suits your venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a provider, check out the profile page but more importantly their website, social accounts and reviews. This will tell you about what kind of equipment/setup they have and more of an insight into the kind of events they have done. I would then ask about the procedures and what is included in the service such as travel, any consultations, any restrictions. I would also look into whether they offer any extra's if their package is not sufficient enough for your event. Also, I would check if they hold public liability insurance and PAT test certificates on their equipment.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Phil and Cerise both originally from the UK met in the hustle and bustle of the cosmopolitan city, Hong Kong. After some amazing years out in South East Asia, they made the decision to return “home” together and settle in London. Their biggest accomplishment thus far was planning their own wedding. Wanting to relive the magic and euphoria they experienced, they decided it was time to fuse their biggest passions and creative skills together, and so Blush & Bass was ignited. Cerise is all about the intricate details, has an eye for the pretty things in life and the sentimental personal touches that make an event unique and timeless. Phil is a passionate DJ with over 20 years of experience. He is an expert at reading the crowd and can mix any genre to suit your music tastes whilst accommodating a broad audience. With their combined wealth of expertise and genuine passion for events, Blush & Bass is simply here to convert your bespoke dream event into reality.
With the natural growth of the business, Blush & Bass has now grown with over 14 staff members including DJs, Lighting technicians, Photobooth operators, Photographers and Videographers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

So far we have not had a booking on the platform as we have only recently joined Add to Event. We do love the portal and how user friendly it is. It is a great idea connecting clients to suppliers and so far have had no complaints! We are looking forward to our receiving our first booking with Add to Event!
