What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
All we need is some pretty basic information, and we'll get back to you with a quote in less than 24 hours, probably the same day. If you've already got these things sorted, please tell us the venue, an idea of your start time and finish time. We will quote you for a full disco with DJ, but we also offer a wealth of extras to make your event complete eg dancefloors, uplighters, daytime music for the wedding breakfast, MCs etc - so feel free to be as specific as you like.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Quite often, for people planning a party, booking the evening entertainment is last on the list (it's cool, we've got used to it!) but I would urge you not to leave it to the last minute. For weddings, in particular, your evening disco is a big part of the day and can really 'make or break' your celebrations, so don't hold back in telling your DJ / Disco provider exactly what you want in terms of music and provide them with a list of 'must-play' songs - and any you want to avoid! It's then the DJs job to create an atmosphere for everyone to have a great time. Another top tip would be to tell you, DJ, how you want them to 'behave' on the night (some people like a chatty DJ, for others this would be their worst nightmare). Then you can relax and enjoy the party!

Disco Cheshire is a team of just 3 DJs with a real passion for mobile discos! We are Ben, Dan and Andy and we've clocked up around 25 years joint experience of providing mobile discos for a huge variety of events at over a hundred different venues across Cheshire and the North West. Of course being a DJ and creating great memories for our clients and their guests is brilliant fun, but we take the job very seriously. We are always investing in new kit and the beauty of working in a team of three is that we can easily pol our resources and talents and 'scale up' for larger events. As it's quite rare for us all to be working on the same night we are able to provide a back-up plan is heaven forbid there was a problem - but thankfully we have never had to use this contingency. Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We love all of our bookings equally and take exactly the same approach with every single piece of work, but perhaps a 'stand-out' booking through Add to Event was to provide our services at an outdoor wedding for 200 guests in the shadows of Jodrell Bank observatory near Holmes Chapel. The flow of the day went from rose garden ceremony to farmhouse wedding breakfast to marquee reception, before everything moved outdoors until the early hours. Yes, that was good!
