What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Date, occasion, location, accessibility (ground floor/upstairs/downstairs), parking availability, expected number of guests, playing times. The more of this information provided the easier to quote, however, I would always suggest speaking to myself & not relying on a multitude of two-way emails.

Sometimes with a wedding earlier set-up may be required, it is highly important to know this before giving a quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Going too cheap on a DJ could be a disaster, but not always.

I always confirm things in writing, take deposits & ask for a small to medium-sized request list

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Started dabbling at Djing in 1982, went full-time Pro in 1994. All genres of popular music can be catered for.
I am from the Old School of DJing where interaction with the audience is almost as important as the choice of music.

The reason I am better at my job than most DJs is my in-depth knowledge of most types of Music from all eras.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As I'm new to this platform I have yet to fulfil my first booking but looking forward to doing so soon.
