What are three Must-Have elements for your event? What is your budget per person? Once we know these we are able to provide and advise to try and ensure the event is on budget.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always meet your DJ beforehand and discuss your requirements, get a feel of the person and contemplate if they are the right fit for you and your event. Ask questions about recent work, their equipment and the types of music they play. Do they take requests, can you supply a playlist? Remember it's your night!.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I first got into DJing when at school around the 1990s, playing music in the local youth club. I managed to save up and get myself some second-hand equipment and I had a friend whose job supplied a van so it seemed a logical step to become a mobile DJ. I have been a professional DJ for over 25 years working in bars, clubs, holiday resorts and various parties.

I always loved music and it allowed me to collect and share lots of fantastic tunes, I love seeing people enjoy themselves singing and dancing and having fun. I started Slipbeats as I wanted to do a job I loved and if you can do that then your passion shines through.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
